5th Week

Hello,

This is the 5th week.

We have come up with an amazing Virtual Team group project with my team members this week.

Based on our survey results, there is common administrative and faculty uncertainty/questions regarding the use of virtual/online classes. Our project would focus on the delivery of information regarding virtual/online/cloud-based classes from a K-12 perspective. We will address & answer questions relative to the following:

1.     How will such a learning environment look (on a large scale) from the perspective of both faculty and administration?
2.     Is there a recognized leader (specific school, district, state) in high school that is pioneering this type of learning environment?
3.     What are the primary driver(s) that lead to the employment of this type of learning environment?
4.     What are the major successes/failures/lessons learned regarding development from a systems standpoint (inputs, processes, outputs, feedback)?

5.     What does the future hold regarding this type of system (will it die, will it remain an integrated part of the traditional system, will it become co-equal with the traditional setting, or will economic/financial difficulties force it to become the primary mode of educational delivery)?

I am very excited about this project as it certainly relate what I try to achieve at my own school.

4th Week

Hello Everyone,

I continue to enjoy creating my own Professional Learning Network in this class. This week I learned about Diigo. I now have my free teacher Diigo account as well. I am part of the class group and able to follow the new entries.

I found Diigo very helpful. It is great to add Diigo and Delicious to toolbar and book mark items from there. It was also great to use highlight and sticky notes in Diigo. It is certainly very helpful.

Sincerely,
Kenan Sener

3rd Week

Hello Everyone,

I have finished my twitter and delicious activities for my professional learning network this week. I was always wondering about the delicious but never used it before. I am glad I learned about it now.

It is wonderful to be able to add any website to delicious as resource.

I love the idea of creating a professional learning network.

I feel like i should recommend this same activity to all of my teachers.

I wish all of you a wonderful week.
